How does a liposuction work?
After a thorough consultation the operation is carried out on an outpatient basis under twilight sedation or local anaesthetic. The fat is removed through fine cannulas, and afterwards you wear compression garments to support the healing.
How long does the procedure take?
The duration of the operation varies between 1 and 4 hours depending on the area of the body. Smaller procedures, such as liposuction at the chin, take less time, while larger areas require more.
Do I have to stay at the Kuzbari Centre after the operation?
No, liposuction with us is as a rule an outpatient procedure. After a short period of monitoring you can be accompanied home. With larger procedures we recommend planning one night of inpatient care with us.
When are the first results visible?
A change is already apparent immediately after the operation, but there is swelling as well. This goes down quickly, while the result takes shape.
What aftercare is required?
After the operation you wear compression garments for a while to support the healing. Gentle movement is beneficial, while sport and physical exertion should be avoided in the first few weeks. Most patients recover very quickly and without complications.
Is the result of a liposuction permanent?
Fat cells that have been removed cannot form again. So a lasting improvement can be expected after a liposuction. All that matters is that you do not put on weight uncontrollably afterwards, otherwise the remaining fat cells can grow larger and worsen the result.
Can 10 kg, 20 kg or 50 kg be removed with a liposuction?
In our experience outpatient liposuctions of 3–4 litres can be carried out well and safely in patients in good general health. With more than 4 litres we recommend planning an inpatient stay of one night. Overall the point is this: a liposuction is not there to reduce the number on the scales but to improve the shape of the body.
What advantages does liposuction have over other methods?
Unlike diets or weight-loss injections, liposuction removes fat cells permanently and in a targeted way and shapes the body individually. No yo-yo effect, no dependence on medication.
Is liposuction safer than weight-loss injections?
While weight-loss injections can cause side effects such as nausea, muscle loss or pancreatitis, liposuction is a one-off, safe surgical procedure with a long-lasting result.
What is included in the prices?
