It works not with heat or ultrasound but with a particularly tissue-sparing vibration technique (up to 4,000 oscillations a minute). The fat removed is of the same high quality as with a manual liposuction — a vessel- and lymph-sparing procedure with excellent results.

VASERlipo® — ultrasound-assisted liposuction
The fat cells are loosened by an ultrasound probe and then removed with conventional cannulas. Because heat is generated, the greatest care is called for; in studies the additional skin tightening hoped for is minimal compared with a regular liposuction.

Frequently asked questions about liposuction
Which areas of the body are suitable for liposuction?
Almost any area of the body can be treated. Particularly popular are the abdomen, legs, hips, back, flanks, neck/double chin, arms and chest.
Is liposuction painful?
The treatment itself is pain-free thanks to twilight sedation or local anaesthetic. After the operation a feeling similar to muscle ache can occur, which subsides after a few days.
Are there scars after liposuction?
The entry points are only a few millimetres in size and are placed inconspicuously. Once healed they are barely visible.
Can the fat form again in other places after the operation?
No, the fat cells that have been removed are permanently gone. The remaining fat cells can grow, however, if you put on a lot of weight.
What kind of anaesthesia is used?
Most liposuctions are carried out under twilight sedation, a gentle form of anaesthesia. With smaller procedures a local anaesthetic is also possible.
